The Singapore Girls •

From Left: Wen Xin, Winnie

For the past 3 months, I have been working with 2 interns from Singapore; Sijin (Winnie) Chen (陈思瑾) and Wen Xin Oh (胡温馨). Before they returned home, I interviewed them for Tsunagari D.

3. What do you like about Kansai?
Winnie: You can still see very old buildings around. I like the cakes here.
Wen Xin: I like the people's working attitude, the attention they give to details. Everything here is delicate, even the way everyone presents themselves. Like food.

4. What's creative in Kansai?

5. How can we build a creative scene in Kansai?
Winnie: By itself, it's already creative. It's not a big picture, but the details are good. From food arrangement to exhibitions, Japanese people have a good way of showcasing their creativity.
Wen Xin: The cafes are doing good. We could make use of that. Try vending machine art, because they're everywhere. What if you could buy ART everywhere?

Winnie: "betsu betsu", "iranai"; I feel good using them.
Wen Xin: "sugoi!"
